Please join us at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, June 10th, for a virtual book talk by award-winning journalist and New York Times bestselling author, Stephen Fried, on his book, RUSH: Revolution, Madness, and Benjamin Rush, the Visionary Doctor who Became a Founding Father<\/strong>. Rush, a 2018 American Library Association Notable Book of the Year, was also a 2019 finalist for the George Washington Book Prize.<\/p>\n

In a presentation entitled, \u201cRediscovering Benjamin Rush, Yellow Fever & the Revolutionary Early Days of Penn Medicine,\u201d<\/strong> Fried will discuss the monumental life of Benjamin Rush, medical pioneer and one of our most provocative and unsung Founding Fathers.<\/p>\n

The Penn Libraries\u2019 Biomedical Library book talk series features Penn authors and beyond. We are delighted to collaborate with the Kislak Center for Special Collections, Rare Books, and Manuscripts to feature Stephen Fried, who teaches at both Penn and Columbia, and who used Kislak Center collections to conduct research for his book.<\/p>\n
