Stephen Fried is traveling the country—by train whenever possible—to discuss and sign copies of his new book Appetite for America. The tour began with a ride along the original Santa Fe railroad routes Fred Harvey himself always rode between Chicago, St. Louis, Kansas City and Los Angeles—now Amtrak’s Southwest Chief (see the One Nation Under Fred blog for a travelogue).
